30 Day Challenge

I took the 30 day challenge on K-Love’s homepage today. That means that I’m only gonna listen to Christian music for 30 days and watch how it changes my life.

I tweeted about it, and K-Love actually retweeted it. They shared my tweet with their followers, if you’re not that into Twitter. The support I got from people all around the world was incredible. It made me realize that I’m not alone in this. I knew that I wasn’t alone, but when so many people contact you and thank you for having your blog… That’s so powerful. I know God made this happened and I am so thankful.

To be honest, I’ve tried this challenge before, and it’s was really hard. I gave up after 10 days. It was too hard back then and I didn’t have the strength to fulfill the challenge.
I’m asking you, do this with me. Be on this journey with me. It’s gonna be hard, because the world doesn’t want you to do this. Know that. This is gonna change you, I know that. People around you are gonna feel it, they are gonna feel the change within you. It’s like saying the name “Jesus” in public. Like at a reasturant. Have you ever done that? If you haven’t, try it. People’s reaction are amazing, even though they are not Christians. That’s because the name “Jesus” is incredibly powerful. In the same way, they are gonna feel God when they see you. Because he lives in you, and by listening to Christian music, your faith strengthens.

However, I thought that I could write down some songs that has made a great affect in my life. Some people I know are feeling lost when it comes to Christian music and don’t know what they can listen to. Here’s 10 of my favorite songs:

  • How Great the Father’s Love For Us – Phillips, Craig & Dean
  • Give Me Your Eyes – Brandon Heath
  • Let the Waters Rise – Mikeschair
  • Lift Me Up – MercyMe
  • I Will Lift My Eyes – Brandon Heath
  • God Speaking – Mandisa
  • I Can Only Imagine – MercyMe
  • The Heart of Worship – Michael W. Smith
  • I Lift My Hands – Chris Tomlin
  • The Lost Get Found – Britt Nicole

So, bare with me on this. We can do this together, you and I.

Love, Sara
