Yellow Coat

A slippery pavement, slippery road,
a little girl stands in a big yellow coat.
Loss of a brother, what can you say,
when all of your words seems to just cause dismay.
Dear little girl, please don’t stumble and break.
The rain’s here to wash you, it’s time to awake.
On a slippery pavement, a slippery road,
the little girl stands in a big yellow coat.
“He may have been needed”, I heard myself say.
How I wish that you knew, his story’s starting today.
