Well, this sorta takes a weird turn…

Sitting here in a white-blue hospital-bed at the local hospital in the small town I’m living in. A small three-centimeters pipe is attached to my right arm and I’m forbidden to eat. I really should have eaten breakfast this morning. All I’ve eaten today is a snickers-bar.

Nothing was wrong this morning. I woke up, took a shower, dressed. I’m much of a time optimist and was soon running to the bus, not having time for breakfast. Gladly, I didn’t miss the bus and I was in school in time. I wasn’t feeling very well and I remember telling my my best friend Alice I wanted to crawl into a corner with the baby-pink hood over face and blast Taylor Swift’s music all day. All of a sudden my stomach started to hurt and it was not the kind that I always get when I’m stressed out. I had never felt that kind of pain before and I’m actually shocked I didn’t pass out or something. Anyway, my two other friends carried/walked me to the school nurse who recommended me to see a doctor immediately.

I had cramps for what felt like hours and hours and the doctors ended up giving me morphine. That actually helped even though I was laughing at random stuff placed in the room and laughing like crazy at my own jokes my mom didn’t understand. My grandparent suddenly arrived. It was my aunt’s birthday today. I was really looking forward to it but of course I couldn’t come.

So, now I’m sitting here. It’s 10:45 pm and I’m soon going to sleep. I still can’t believe I’m at the hospital. If someone would have told me I was going to sleep at the hospital earlier, I probably would have been all like: “Excuse me? What is wrong with you, man?”
I probably wouldn’t have said, but at least I would have thought it.

Gotta sleep now. The nurses are gonna wake me up at 6:30 am tomorrow. A Saturday. Not fair. Not fair at all.

Love, Sara
